This beautiful copper-foiled stained glass sun catcher was handmade by Tamara Goldsmith in her Portland, OR studio. This wonderful bright red glass is so vibrant, showing wonderful refractions with direct light shining through, The solder lines on this piece have been given a black patina, and are waxed for a protective, shiny surface. Some fun wirework details have been added under the mushroom cap.
 
Hangs from the top with a ribbon.
Measures about 5" wide, 6.5" tall and hangs from the top of the ribbon to the bottom; about 10" in total.
60/40 lead/tin solder was used and the border is lead came.
Lead is not dangerous to have in your home in an art-piece like this unless sanded, causing lead-dust to be airborne and inhaled or somehow ingested. However, it is always a good idea to wash your hands well after cleaning or handling the piece.
